WHY DO I NEED AN INTERVIEW DAY FOR DAYCARE?
Wondering why your pup needs an interview before starting daycare? Find out what happens during their first day and how it helps us create the best experience for your dog
Before your dog can join our daycare program, we require an interview day to make sure daycare is a good fit for them. Every dog has their own personality, play style, and comfort level, so we want to take the time to get to know your pup before placing them in a group. The interview gives our team an opportunity to see how your dog responds to other dogs, people, and a new environment.
WHAT HAPPENS DURING AN INTERVIEW DAY?
Your dog’s interview day gives our team time to observe them throughout their first day at daycare. We pay attention to their body language, play style, and how they respond to the sights, sounds, and other dogs around them. We are looking at more than whether your dog wants to play. We watch how they communicate with other dogs, respond to staff, handle new surroundings, and recover from excitement or uncertainty.
WHAT IF MY DOG DOESN'T ENJOY PLAY GROUP?
Not every dog is comfortable in a group setting, and that is completely okay. If we determine that group play is not the best fit, your dog can still enjoy their daycare day in one of our self yards. They will have their own yard where they can spend time outside, enjoy the sights and sounds of the other dogs, and remain safely separated.
